We are looking for a Division Manager who wants to drive our work with command systems for the land arena forward. Here, you have the opportunity to use your competence where it truly makes a difference. Together with an experienced team, you create solutions that leave a mark – both today and in the future.

About the role

As Division Manager for Land, you lead a business focused on digitalizing the army with modern and secure communication solutions, and continuing to develop support for land forces so that the Swedish Armed Forces can best command their units. The division procures command support systems for the army and amphibious forces, optronic sensors, land combat management systems, and tactical land radios.

You have overall responsibility for the division's operations and lead through four unit managers who have operational responsibility, often involving close cooperation with other divisions, the Land Materiel business area at the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV), the Swedish Armed Forces, and industry partners. You take active responsibility for change management, both within the division and across the entire business area. This involves initiating and driving development and improvement work with the goal of strengthening the business's ability to meet future needs in an efficient manner.

As a member of the business area's management group, you contribute to the development of the entire business from a strategic and long-term perspective. As a manager, you represent FMV's vision, goals, and values. You are responsible for achieving an efficient and purposeful operation and have operational, employer, and financial responsibility, serving as the most important communication channel for your employees. The position is located in Stockholm. Travel is involved.

About you

We are looking for you who have a relevant academic education or equivalent competence assessed by the employer as equivalent. You have several years of experience as a manager with operational, employer, and financial responsibility. You have experience leading businesses with multiple interfaces and dependencies, as well as planning, implementing, and following up on operations, projects, and economy. Furthermore, you have experience in change management and leading other managers. The position requires that you express yourself well orally and in writing in Swedish and English, and that you have good knowledge of FMV's and the Swedish Armed Forces' roles, processes, and ways of working.

Experience of public procurement is meritorious. We would like you to have experience from public operations and an understanding of state governance. If you have experience working in complex organizations with many collaboration interfaces or within the defense sector, we see this as an advantage.

Personal qualities are of great importance to us, and we welcome applicants with different backgrounds and experiences. As a manager here, you lead the business with clear direction and purposefulness. Communication is a competence that permeates everything you do with a large focus. You ensure that both short-term and long-term goals are met through structured work, responsibility-taking, and anchoring among employees. You build trusting relationships and promote an inclusive, respectful work environment where engagement, community, and diversity are at the center. With stability, courage, and integrity, you take responsibility for decisions and actions, lead with values in focus, and act safely even in challenging situations. Through strategic holistic vision, you prioritize and coordinate resources, drive improvements, and strengthen the agency's long-term development and trust.
