At the System division, you will work on the most exciting challenges in the power system – from real-time operations to planning 40 years into the future. The high complexity and opportunities for development make our work both stimulating and meaningful. Here, you gain a unique holistic perspective on the power system and collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure a secure, sustainable, and efficient electricity supply.
About the role
In this role, you will work with the analysis and modeling of the power system to study frequency stability and balancing in various operating situations. Based on these analyses, you will contribute to the development and management of technical requirements for support services and remedial actions to ensure a stable power system. Within the unit, we work with both frequency and balancing issues, where your focus is adapted to your competence and needs.
The work also includes the development and application of grid codes and European regulations, as well as collaboration with other TSOs. The role is varied and combines independent work with cross-functional collaboration, as well as participation in and leadership of Nordic and European cooperation forums and working groups.
You will work in a technically advanced and rapidly changing environment where development is fast-paced and the issues are complex. Through your work, you will directly contribute to ensuring frequency stability to support a secure power system, which is crucial for society as a whole. The role offers the opportunity to influence the development of the power system and play a central role in enabling the electrification of society and the transition to a sustainable energy system.
You will belong to the Frequency Measures unit, which consists of nine employees. The unit has technical development and management responsibility for support services and remedial actions for frequency and balancing, and leads, drives, and participates in technical projects and studies within the frequency field. Within the unit, there is an open and inclusive culture with a strong focus on collaboration, respect, and active knowledge exchange, where curiosity and development are encouraged.
