Do you want to inspire and guide the residents of Malmö in their first steps towards working life? The Department for Labour Market Initiatives is now looking for an engaged and driven study and career counselor who wants to make a difference.

Job Responsibilities
In the role of study and career counselor, you will have a varied and meaningful assignment. A central part of the position is to coordinate the PRAO (Preparatory Work Experience) assignment within the Department for Labour Market Initiatives, where we receive young people into our operations. You are responsible for administration, contacts with schools and collaboration partners, as well as producing work materials that support the employees who supervise PRAO students.
In addition to this, standard duties for study and career counselors are included. You will also:
- Prepare, guide, and coach participants with the aim of them starting studies on their path to self-sufficiency.
- Plan and conduct both individual conversations and groups with participants.
- Carry out various interventions together with colleagues.
- Document in the Pro Capita database, including describing and following up on the participant's process.
- Collaborate and cooperate with other actors internally and externally, e.g., guidance centers, adult education, and other educational providers.
- Participate in development work regarding studies and guidance.
- Gather experiences and knowledge within the field and keep yourself updated by monitoring the environment in areas required to plan and coach participants to choose a good study path.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
- A university degree as a study and career counselor.
- At least two years of relevant work experience.
- Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as well as good documentation skills.
Meritorious qualifications include:
- Additional language skills.
- Experience working in municipal and/or private labor market initiatives.
