The Swedish Armed Forces Technical School (FMTS) in Halmstad has the mission to provide the Swedish Armed Forces with combat units within technical service and transport service, conduct technical training for all branches of the armed forces, and work with technical development.
The General Staff Unit is a unit at FMTS and its main task is to support the commander in their operational leadership. You will belong to the Implementation Department on the General Staff Unit, also known as J3 according to NATO standards. The department is responsible for the leadership and support of daily operations within both the staff and other parts of the unit. Employees on the department work with different competencies and focus areas, where the unit's implementation is the common denominator.
Main Responsibilities
The work involves supporting operations with case management, case follow-up, staff and dispatch services, and processing in VIDAR, which is the Swedish Armed Forces' IT support for document and case management. You will also provide support for orders, logistics, implementation of operations, drafting of letters, and minutes for meetings. Other duties include ordering and purchasing goods, support with work time planning and shift planning in the PRIO system, as well as preparing, planning, and administering meetings. You will work both independently and collaboratively with others and will contribute to the department's development with a good sense of order, strong structuring skills, and a pronounced service orientation.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Completed upper secondary education
- Previous experience and/or education in administrative work
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing, in Swedish and English
- Knowledge of IT systems PRIO and VIDAR
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Category B driver's license, manual transmission

We are looking for someone who has a good ability to work both in a team and independently. You have the ability to make your own decisions and take initiative. You are service-oriented, have good administrative skills, and find it easy to establish new contacts both within and outside your own organization. You should be prepared to handle tasks in several different areas. A prerequisite for performing the tasks well is that you are structured and meticulous and that you enjoy supporting others. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
