About the role

The Application Leader is responsible for ensuring that the radiology systems meet the needs of the healthcare operations. The work is carried out together with other employees who manage the radiology systems: Application Leaders IT, Application Specialists IT, and Systems Coordinators. The work takes place in the care environment in close collaboration with radiology and other healthcare staff to understand the needs of the healthcare personnel in order to utilize the systems optimally. There is also collaboration with personnel within Medical Technology, IT and digitalization, as well as external suppliers. The Application Leader works within the processes established by Region Halland for system administration.

As an Application Leader, you are responsible for, among other things:

  • Leading the systems coordinators in projects within the operational radiology system administration work, on behalf of the Department Manager for System Administration.
  • Providing continuous status reports to the application owner.
  • Working in close collaboration with the Application Leader IT.
  • Creating, implementing, and following up on project plans on behalf of the Department Manager for System Administration.
  • Preparing budget proposals on behalf of the application owner.
  • Ensuring that agreements are established with IT suppliers in collaboration with the Application Leader IT and the Department Manager for System Administration.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Responsible for detailed handling of project tasks and activities on behalf of the Department Manager for System Administration.
  • Leading procurement, acquisition, and implementation of systems on behalf of the Department Manager.
  • Monitoring the external environment from an operational and national perspective towards suppliers/manufacturers and external stakeholders.
  • Following up on the results of the administration's operational costs and reporting the results to the object owner.
  • Holding dialogue with suppliers present within the object.
  • Identifying areas for improvement within the object and working for proactive administration.
  • Handling critical or important events, holding dialogue with the operations, and participating in information work, in some cases based on IT/Teleservice delivery processes.
  • Implementing the decided activity plan.
  • Ensuring that administration documentation within the object and reporting routines are in place.
  • Ensuring optimal communication channels.
  • Updating the Application Registry for applications belonging to the object.
  • Coordinating tasks and activities with affected objects.
  • Ensuring that cost-benefit analyses are conducted.
  • Specifying and defining customer adaptations.
  • Ensuring that new systems are reported to PUL and PDL responsible parties where applicable.

The work is scheduled during daytime hours, and the location is Halmstad or Varberg.

About the workplace

You will be employed within System Administration Radiology Halland.

The department currently consists of a Department Manager/Application Owner and four employees working with system administration. You will have close collaboration with roles such as Application Leader, Application Leader IT, and Application Specialist IT.

Radiology Halland consists of operations in Halmstad, Varberg, Kungsbacka, Falkenberg, and Hyltebruk. Approximately 350 employees work within our operations. Radiology Halland conducts both emergency and planned operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Several years of work experience within healthcare.
  • Experience working in a process-oriented manner/in project form.
  • Post-secondary education relevant to the position.
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
  • Good IT skills.

To handle the assignment, you need to have overarching system competence, i.e., an understanding of your own role and how the parts of the whole function together within healthcare. It is of great importance that you are communicative and have a good ability to collaborate and build good relationships with various partners.

Meritorious qualifications include:

  • Experience in similar assignments.
  • Experience working within radiology.
  • Experience working with system administration.
  • Experience with systems used in radiology.
  • Documented knowledge within information security/GDPR.
  • Experience in medical technology.
