The position covers three units: Wämöskolan, International School of Karlskrona, and Aklejaskolan. You will be based at Wämöskolan and ISK, which share premises. Therefore, you must be able to communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

The role of a Study and Career Counselor involves working with questions related to counseling sessions regarding track choices, individual choices, and other areas concerning the students' upper secondary school years. This includes counseling sessions regarding post-secondary studies as well as other common tasks such as study discussions, participation in parent meetings, and providing other information to students. The role also includes an active part in the school's student health work.

As a Study and Career Counselor, you may also be given coordinating responsibility for other study and career counselors within the administration.

Qualifications

• University education and completion of a Study and Career Counseling education.
• Documented experience from study and career counseling assignments.
• Category B driver's license (required).
• Ability to organize and structure work in an efficient manner.
• Good at prioritizing tasks and coordinating resources to achieve short- and long-term goals.
• Fluency in both Swedish and English (oral and written).

Employment Terms

Type of Employment: Permanent.
Duration: Permanent.
Start Date: 2026-10-01 or by agreement.
Working Hours: Daytime.
