The adapted primary school in Ronneby Municipality covers grades 1–9. The operations are located at two units, Kallingeskolan and Kuggebodaskolan.

The adapted primary school strives to offer a safe, accessible, and stimulating learning environment where learning, participation, community, and well-being are at the center. Our goal is for every student to feel seen, included, and significant. Here, students can study subjects, subject areas, or a combination of these based on the curriculum for adapted primary school. For some students, the teaching may also follow the standard primary school curriculum in certain subjects. In this way, the education can be adapted to the student's prerequisites and provide the best possible opportunities for knowledge development and goal achievement. Furthermore, the teaching is designed based on each student's strengths, needs, and development opportunities.

The adapted operations are organized into smaller teaching groups with high staff density, which provides good opportunities to meet each student's individual needs and create the best conditions for learning, development, and security. The operations include educators, student support staff, special needs teachers, and subject teachers who work together to give students the best possible conditions for learning and personal development. At the same time, the school's student health team works promotively and preventively to strengthen students' health, well-being, and school attendance. Through collaboration between the principal, special needs teacher, school nurse, counselor, and study and career counselor, support is offered to both students, guardians, and staff.

Furthermore, we view the collaboration between home and school as a key success factor for the student's development. Through open communication, mutual respect, and good cooperation, we create the best conditions together for every student to develop, feel secure, and reach their full potential.

WORK ASSIGNMENTS

We are now looking for a special needs teacher or educator who wants to become part of our fantastic operations within adapted primary school.

Your assignment as a special needs teacher/educator includes planning, conducting lessons, and evaluating the pedagogical work individually as well as in work teams. You should also find strategies to reach each individual student and strengthen them in their knowledge development. Together with other colleagues, you should keep the school's value base and view of knowledge in focus. Active value-based work is a matter of course for you. You have drive and contribute to the school's quality work.

In your role, you are involved in creating a secure foundation for our students who have a great need for support, individualized pedagogy, and social training. An important part of the work is to stimulate and motivate the students to develop their abilities and create opportunities for learning. Documentation according to governing documents is also included. You should be well acquainted with the school's governing documents and aware of its documentation requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who apply must have a teaching license. It is meritorious if you are a qualified special needs teacher with specialization in intellectual disability. You have experience teaching in adapted primary school and you have knowledge of the governing documents and course plans for this type of school.

Your view of students is inclusive, and you have the ability to see how the needs of the individual student and the group are best met. You have an interest in development and learning at multiple levels. You have a low-affective and self-reflective approach.

You can express yourself well in speech and writing. You can communicate and collaborate with colleagues, students, guardians, and other professions you encounter in your work.

You have basic knowledge of Office 365 and relevant systems for the position, as well as experience working digitally. We work with alternative communication methods, which means you are familiar with sign communication, Widget Go, and visual supports.
