Your Responsibilities

Do you want to work on driving sustainability and environmental issues forward in an exciting business? We are now looking for an Environmental and Sustainability Coordinator who wants to be a key player in the work towards a more sustainable future. In this role, you will ensure that environmental requirements and sustainability goals are followed in the operations in Söderfors/Tierp. You will become an important link between different stakeholders and be responsible for identifying, monitoring, and overseeing the company's environmental impact, as well as developing and implementing measures to reduce this impact throughout the process. The work includes managing the environmental system, including environmental aspects, and driving and developing the environmental management system according to ISO 14001. You will also ensure compliance with laws and regulations and be responsible for monitoring production permits from authorities. The role also involves monitoring environmental and sustainability goals, as well as producing internal and external environmental and sustainability reports and statistical follow-ups. In this role, you will have a central function in environmental work, where you, among other things, review safety data sheets, drive risk analyses, and contribute to customer issues and improvement work. You report to the management group and are responsible for the Environmental Council in Söderfors.

Your Profile

To thrive in this role, we believe you are a curious and solution-oriented person with your own drive and the ability to see both the big picture and the opportunities in change. You are structured and analytical, while having the energy and courage to drive the work forward independently. Since the role involves many contact surfaces, it is important that you are communicative and have an easy time engaging others in environmental and sustainability issues. Perhaps you have worked with similar issues in another operation and now want to take the next step in a role where you can truly make an impact. We are looking for someone with good knowledge of environmental legislation, environmental management systems, and preferably experience from manufacturing industry. Experience with IFS business systems is meritorious but not a requirement. We would like you to have a university degree in environmental science, sustainable development, or equivalent experience. You have experience with and understanding of operational systems, especially ISO 14001, as well as solid knowledge of environmental issues and the requirements and expectations placed by various stakeholders. You are a proficient user of the Office suite and are fluent in Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
