The Furuboda Association runs folk high schools, upper secondary schools, labor market training programs, residential care facilities (HVB), conference activities, and an assistance company. The operations are based at our main facility south of Åhus and at our branch offices in Kristianstad, Malmö, Lund, and Karlskrona.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for support staff for the Support & Housing unit at Furuboda Folk High School Yngsjö.

The role involves providing individually tailored support to participants with various functional variations in all aspects of their daily lives, with the goal of strengthening the individual's own abilities. You will be present during daytime hours at the school as well as during mornings, evenings, and weekends at the boarding school. You will participate in the planning and implementation of leisure activities and in the participants' general daily living.

The position also includes on-call sleeping duties at night. The role also involves working evenings at our upper secondary boarding school. Therefore, you must submit an extract from your criminal record.

Qualifications

• Nursing assistant education or other education and/or experience considered equivalent.
• Post-secondary education is meritorious, as is previous work with young people.
• Experience working within LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) activities is meritorious.
• We apply low-affective interaction, motivational interviewing, and clear pedagogy. Experience and training in these areas are meritorious.
• Experience with dogs is a plus.
• Basic computer skills.
• Category B driver's license.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
