About Us

The Habilitation Clinic is a specialist unit based on specific knowledge regarding permanent disabilities and their consequences in daily life. We serve as a complement to other healthcare services. Our mission is to provide habilitation and assessment interventions for children, adolescents, and adults with permanent disabilities such as mobility impairments, multiple disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders.

We work in multidisciplinary teams divided into children's, adolescents', and adults' teams. You will also work alongside an experienced pediatric nurse. The team includes occupational therapists, counselors, speech therapists, psychologists, physiotherapists, special educators, and medical secretaries.

The Habilitation Clinic provides interventions individually and/or in groups, either at our clinic or in the patient's everyday environments. Since you will be an important part of our multidisciplinary teams, it is important that you enjoy working with others and believe that the best results are achieved through collaboration.

We work from a behavioral medicine perspective, specifically Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and you will be offered internal training in this area.

We meet regularly in county-wide professional meetings to discuss and collaborate on profession-specific issues with our colleagues in the county. Within our operations, there is a continuous improvement process where all employees are involved.

Your Responsibilities

At the Habilitation Clinic, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team for patients aged 0–18. As a nurse, you will contribute medical knowledge and collaborate closely with pediatric neurologists and child psychiatrists. Together with the doctors, you will manage waiting lists and handle bookings. Collaboration with the pediatric clinic is important as many of our patients are also treated there.

The nurse's main areas of responsibility lie within nutrition and elimination. You will manage patients with gastrostomies, providing support and advice to families and networks regarding these, as well as handling prescriptions. We also meet many patients with various eating difficulties, providing support and advice on this while monitoring growth. The nurse collaborates closely with dietitians.

In the area of elimination, we work on training for independence regarding incontinence and RIK/TAI (Respiratory Insufficiency/Tracheostomy), as well as prescribing assistive devices.

As a nurse, you will spend part of your time staffing the clinic's TeleQ (telephone advice line) to provide advice and guide patients and parents.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse, preferably with specialist competence in children's and adolescents' health. Experience working with children is meritorious, as is knowledge of the Habilitation Clinic's target group. A valid driver's license (Category B) is required.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and your ability to work together in teams as well as collaborate with other actors.

Employment Terms

Permanent employment with start date as agreed. Working hours Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week.
