PTP Psychologist at Skiftinge Health Centre, Eskilstuna
PTP Psychologist at Skiftinge Health Centre, Eskilstuna and the PTP Program in Region Sörmland
About Us
Since 2016, Region Sörmland has offered a highly regarded PTP (Psychologist Training Program) program. You will have your main placement and supervisor within one unit, while gaining insight and knowledge of other units through study visits and opportunities for observation (auscultation). You will participate in an introductory day with other PTP psychologists, followed by regular seminars, lectures, and a 5-day assessment training course. The Study Director is responsible for the structure and continuous evaluation of the PTP program and is available for discussions, advice, and support.
The three main towns in Region Sörmland are Eskilstuna, Nyköping, and Katrineholm, with clinics also located in smaller communities. The current PTP position is located at Skiftinge Health Centre in Eskilstuna, approximately a 1-hour commute from Stockholm. Training days for the PTP program are held in various locations, and you must be able to travel to locations other than your workplace on these days.
Skiftinge Health Centre, Eskilstuna

You will enjoy freedom under responsibility and significant opportunities to influence your work, both in major and minor aspects. The psychology team regularly evaluates and adjusts the treatment setup, but you manage your own schedule for individual tasks. The workplace is characterized by teamwork, a pleasant environment, and a good atmosphere. The psychology team currently consists of three experienced licensed psychologists, all working with CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). The team strives to offer a short waiting time for assessment and initial intervention according to stepped care principles. The psychology team has joint, regular CBT supervision.
Your Responsibilities
The position at the above-mentioned workplace involves working in a cross-professional environment where you, as a psychologist, play a central role. In addition to individual-focused work such as psychological treatment and assessments, the following tasks may be included:
- Consultative work and, in some units, supervision of staff groups.
- Development of operations and methods.
- Support, advice, and knowledge dissemination.
- Collaboration with both external and internal stakeholders.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a degree in psychology. You should be curious about new knowledge, willing to actively develop your professional skills, and eager to grow in your professional role. Experience from work in healthcare and social services is meritorious.
You must be able to work independently. Since teamwork is an important part of all operations, you should also want to and be able to work together with others. You should have good verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of multiple languages is an asset. We welcome applicants from different cultures and backgrounds. A valid driver's license (Category B) is required for some positions.
We would appreciate it if you are interested in working within Region Sörmland in the future and have a connection to the local area.
