About Us

Welcome to our day surgery department where we are now looking for you who are a nurse. Here you are offered a fun workplace run by nurses and nursing assistants, surrounded by a secure and experienced work group. We are primarily a unit that provides preoperative and postoperative care for planned and emergency surgeries, but we also handle various forms of day care treatments. Patients from surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, ENT, and specialist dentistry are treated here, with operations during day/evening hours Monday-Thursday and daytime on Fridays.

Our collaboration with the different clinics creates a unique opportunity to deepen your knowledge in several areas, which we consider one of the best features of our unit.

Furthermore, we have an exciting future ahead as our operations will move into new premises in autumn 2026. The move means that we will co-locate with the operating and recovery department, creating a Day Surgery Center based on a new modern care concept. Your Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, you will primarily be in charge of patients undergoing surgery but also receive day care patients who, for example, need medication treatment, blood transfusion, or are to undergo an examination via the radiology clinic. You work in a team with nursing assistants and ensure that the patient has what they need for secure and safe care. Your ability to guide the patient through the care day, combined with providing a calm and secure approach, is central.

The work pace varies, but requires good ability to coordinate and plan tasks to create a smooth care flow between surgery, radiology, incoming patients, and discharges. You should be able to work independently but always have experienced colleagues around you to support you.

Your Competence

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse.

• You have a secure and calm approach.
• You enjoy working at a varied pace and switching between different tasks.
• You have the ability to work independently and are responsible for your tasks.
• You cooperate well with others and are clear in your communication.
• You are computer literate and have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Employment Terms

Permanent employment with start date as agreed.
The position includes day and evening shifts.
If you want to work weekend shifts, there is an opportunity to rotate to the surgical department. The extent depends on your own interest and the operational needs.
