Do you want to help develop how one of Sweden's most important authorities handles information?

At the Swedish Migration Agency, you will have the opportunity to work strategically with information management in an operation where the right information is crucial for legally secure decisions and an efficient public administration.

As an Information Strategist, you help shape the authority's long-term development within information governance, information architecture, and data governance – in close collaboration with operations, architecture, and development teams.

We are now looking for an Information Strategist for the Section for Strategy and Information Governance within the Digitalization and Development Department (DUA).

Here, you will work with current societal issues influenced by developments in our surrounding world. Issues that touch and engage. We offer a dynamic work environment where continuous improvement and human interaction are in focus.

The Section for Strategy and Information Governance is responsible for the strategic development of the authority's information management. Here, you work together with various specialist roles within the information management field. By combining different perspectives and competencies, you create the prerequisites for a cohesive and long-term development of the authority's data and information.

The role involves many contact points, both within the Digitalization and Development Department, with other departments within the authority, and with external partners.

Responsibilities

As an Information Strategist, you are responsible for the strategic development of the authority's information management. Based on the authority's mission, goals, and long-term development needs, you follow developments in the field and analyze how trends, regulations, and initiatives in the external environment affect the authority's prerequisites. By translating these insights into strategic choices and priorities, you contribute to shaping the authority's future direction in this area.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Driving and/or contributing to strategic initiatives related to the information field.
  • Ensuring that information management and information needs are integrated into the development of new digital solutions through close collaboration with the architecture function, product owners, and development teams.
  • Contributing to the development of the authority's capabilities within information governance, information architecture, and data governance.
  • Producing analyses and decision support materials within the information field.
  • Contributing to the development of methods and capabilities within information management.
  • Monitoring developments within information governance, information management, digitalization, and relevant regulations.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have a strong strategic drive and are motivated by developing operations through better information governance and information usage. You have the ability to see the big picture and are accustomed to working in complex organizations where collaboration, anchoring, and change leadership are important parts of the work.

As a person, you are analytical, proactive, and communicative. You are confident in driving issues forward and translating strategic needs into concrete methods and development initiatives. You can explain complex relationships in a clear and pedagogical way and have an easy time building trusting relationships.

In our work as civil servants, high demands are also placed on judgment and a high level of security and confidentiality awareness.

You who apply have

  • A relevant university or college degree (at least 60 credits) in areas such as business development, informatics, information science, archival and information science, or other education combined with relevant work experience.
  • Several years of experience working with information governance, business development, information architecture, data governance, or a corresponding strategic development area.
  • Documented experience in leading, driving, or contributing to strategic development work.
  • Experience in driving change and development initiatives in larger organizations.
  • Very good communication skills and express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English.

It is meritorious if you have

  • Experience working in the public sector or other socially important operations.
  • Knowledge of legal requirements for information management, architecture work, or information security.
