Nitator is an established and modern supplier to the automotive industry where quality, precision, and continuous improvement are at the center. We are now looking for a Quality Engineer Project / Metrology Technician who wants to take a key role in our quality work and help develop both products, processes, and metrological methods.
With us, you will have a varied and developmental role where you work closely with production, project organization, customers, and suppliers.
About the role
As a Quality Engineer Project / Metrology Technician, you are responsible for driving and developing quality work with a special focus on project quality and metrology. You will be a key resource in both ongoing production and new projects, ensuring that the right quality tools are used and that customer requirements are met.
You report to the Quality and Environmental Manager and are part of the quality department.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will among other things:
- Drive and further develop FMEA work.
- Create and maintain flow diagrams, FMEA, control plans, and inspection instructions.
- Ensure that PPAP work is carried out according to established routines.
- Compile and administer PPAP and IMDS.
- Participate in and drive quality assurance of new products and production cells.
- Support production with analyses, quality tools, and improvement proposals.
- Be involved in the company's long-term quality strategy.
- Conduct internal training in metrology.
- Perform measurements as well as program and maintain the company's measuring machine.
- Be responsible for product revisions, layout inspections, prototype, and production measurements.
- Be responsible for calibration and follow-up of measuring equipment.
- Conduct MSA and capability studies.
- Interpret drawing documentation and technical specifications.
- Provide technical support in deviation management.
- Participate in the development of inspection fixtures and specifications.
- Handle suppliers' PPAP documentation.
- Provide advisory support on metrological questions towards customers and suppliers.
We are looking for you who
- Have post-secondary technical education or equivalent work experience.
- Have experience in quality work within manufacturing industry.
- Have good knowledge of metrology, measuring systems, and analysis of measurement results.
- Have experience in project work and quality control.
- Have good computer skills.
- Communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
- Are analytical, structured, and solution-oriented.
- Have good collaboration skills and thrive with many contact surfaces.
- Are proactive and take responsibility for developing working methods and processes.
Merits
- Experience from the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of the APQP process.
- Experience with PPAP, FMEA, IMDS, and MSA.
- Knowledge of Core Tools.
- Experience in quality assurance during process and product changes.
- Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and programming.
