Job Description

Trafikverket's remote control system (SCADA) for electricity, tunnels, and railway facilities is used to monitor and control complex facility components. The facility is managed from a national perspective, where complex facilities include, among other things, building automation and overall control, such as the City Tunnel, City Line, and the upcoming West Link.

We are now looking for a Systems Specialist who will become part of a team working nationally. The team consists of system engineers, systems specialists, and technology specialists located throughout the country. The team is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and development of Trafikverket's SCADA/ICS environment in the railway infrastructure. We have a strong focus and drive to ensure availability, security, and performance in our systems. We support the operations in their ability to control and monitor the railway infrastructure, which in turn enables Sweden's transport system.

As a Systems Specialist, you will be an important part of supporting our daily operations with your expert knowledge. You will work independently with great responsibility, but also as part of a team. You will have daily contacts with custodians and international suppliers, as well as ongoing work with the operation and maintenance of the SCADA/ICS environment and its surrounding infrastructure (Linux/Windows/Virtualization/Data Communication). You will also drive the development of critical parts of our delivery with a focus on efficiency and security. With us, you will get:

We are looking for you who have good analytical skills and can look beyond the immediate to see what needs to be done from a holistic perspective. The role involves significant responsibility, which requires you to work independently, structured, and carefully to achieve agreed goals and quality levels.

We are looking for you who have:

• A university degree or other post-secondary education in IT, or alternatively other education combined with experience that we assess as equivalent.
• Broad and deep current and relevant experience of SCADA systems in large industrial IT environments.
• Experience working with cybersecurity within OT (Operational Technology).
• Knowledge and understanding of the interaction between network technology and SCADA systems.
• Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• A valid driver's license for a passenger car.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Knowledge of PSIcontrol.
• Experience in system programming, for example within PowerShell, Python, and shell programming.
• Experience working with firewalls, intrusion detection, and/or network analysis.
• Relevant experience with IT infrastructure, e.g., servers, switches, virtualization, Linux, Windows.
• Good understanding of IT architecture.
• Knowledge of RTU/PLC technology.

Additional Information

The location for this position is Borlänge, Gothenburg, or Karlstad.

Travel occurs, mostly within the country but also abroad occasionally, for example for courses.
