Teacher for Grades F-3 at Malmen School, Kumla

Malmen School is a municipal primary school (Grades F-6) centrally located in Kumla. The school currently has approximately 165 students, with one class per grade level. The majority of students live within the school's catchment area. The area and the school are characterized by cultural and linguistic diversity. The staff at Malmen consists of teachers, special education teachers, preschool teachers, leisure-time center pedagogues, childcare workers, and student assistants. Malmen School has access to a comprehensive student health team, including the principal, school nurse, counselor, special education teachers, school attendance coach, school speech therapist, and school psychologist.

The leisure-time center at Malmen is divided into two sections: "Räven" (The Fox) for students in grades F-1, and "Vargen" (The Wolf) for students in grades 2–6.

Exciting work is currently underway with the new construction of a sports hall and school building. The new school is being built on the school grounds and is expected to be ready for occupancy in the autumn of 2027.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a teacher for Grades F-3 at Malmen School. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, and developing teaching in one of our lower primary school classes. Your mission is to create the best possible conditions for every student to succeed in their learning, together with the work team.

You are interested in creating good conditions for students facing difficulties and possess the competence to meet all types of students. You work with language and knowledge development, focusing on developing students' linguistic abilities. You are well-versed in early reading and writing acquisition.

Qualifications

As a person, you find it easy to collaborate with others. You feel confident and secure even in challenging situations and can adapt to different types of tasks and situations. Your teaching is characterized by thoughtful work with guidance and stimulation, as well as adaptations based on students' individual needs. Your lessons are marked by clear expectations, calm working atmosphere, and a desire to learn. You have the ability to support students in handling any conflicts that may arise. It is important that you can build trusting relationships, both inside and outside of school.

For this position, we are looking for someone with a teaching license for younger age groups. Experience from previous work as a teacher is meritorious. You must have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Meritorious Qualifications

• Experience working and teaching in grades F-3
• Knowledge of and experience with using AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) in teaching
• Broad subject competence
• Competence in Art
• Experience with planning and documentation work in Infomentor and Prorenata
