Do you want to join us?
Do you want meaningful work where you have the opportunity to work closely with an individual and make a concrete difference in their daily life? Do you thrive with responsibility, structure, and relationship building? Then this might be the right assignment for you.
About the client and workplace
We are currently looking for a personal assistant for a 22-year-old young man living in Tungelsta. He has autism combined with a physical disability and needs personal assistance to manage his daily life.
The client has a strong interest in video games, and it is an advantage if you, as an assistant, share this interest, as it can contribute to natural communication and a good relationship in daily life. As an assistant, you will play an important role in enabling both his daily routines and leisure interests.
The tasks include help with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, transfers, and communication. Communication is individual, and you and the client will work together to find strategies that work in daily life. The job requires presence, patience, and the ability to create security and structure.
At Hjälpas, assistance is always tailored to the individual's needs, which means that tasks may vary and that you, as an assistant, need to be flexible and engaged.
Who are we looking for?
As a personal assistant, you are expected to have good teamwork skills, be communicative, responsible, and responsive. You are respectful in your approach and have an interest in building relationships and working long-term.
Experience working with autism, personal assistance, or care and support is meritorious but not a requirement. The most important thing is that you have the right attitude, can work in a structured manner, and are confident in your role.
You need to have very good communication skills in Swedish, as communication with the client is a central part of the job.
