I am a 27-year-old man with cerebral palsy (CP) looking for personal assistants to maximize life together with me! I need help with everything in daily life. I communicate via an eye-controlled computer, and I want you to enjoy talking to me through it. Therefore, you must be able to speak and understand Swedish very well.

I am looking for you who can jump in for hourly shifts, both during the day, evenings, weekends, and awake nights. There is, among other things, a position of approximately 50 percent covering day, evening, and weekend. You should be able to work throughout the summer. In the future, there may be talk of a permanent position. You will work days and evenings according to a fixed rotating schedule. If interested, there is an opportunity for staffing responsibility and more hours.

My outlook on life is that "nothing is impossible" and to think solutions instead of dead ends. My interests include Hammarby, watching football, bandy, and handball. Music is a major interest, preferably playing bass, listening to music, and going to concerts. If you also play music, it is a plus, but not a requirement.

I enjoy hanging out with friends. I am part of a running group where you, as an assistant, are my arms and legs and push my wheelchair forward. In winter, I ski in my own way. I swim several times a week at a swimming club, where you are also my arms and legs.

I have received my own apartment in Råcksta and will live there with my personal assistants. My family means a lot to me, and I enjoy spending time with my older siblings and nieces/nephews.

About you:
I am looking for you who is positive, secure, and happy in your role as a personal assistant. You are tidy, punctual, and a team player who has the ability to put my needs first. You should be perceptive, able to work both in a team and independently, and interact with me and my network. The work is flexible – this is not a 9-to-5 job, but the work is where I am. Being punctual, able to plan and structure the work, as well as being physically strong and enjoying training and music, is a big plus.

As an assistant, you should focus on me and my life choices. It is important to me that you see me as the positive and happy guy I am behind my CP disability. Ideally, you are humble and believe that the job as a personal assistant is a developing and rewarding work. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions. I am looking for both men and women. Staffing:
An extended (and compensated) staffing assignment is included in this position. This means that during certain weeks, you must be reachable at times other than working hours, to call in a substitute or jump in and assist yourself in situations where intervention is required. This is Assistans i Balans's way of ensuring that our clients always have a familiar assistant by their side. The assignment is shared by all assistants working according to a regular schedule.
