The assignment is full-time, on-site, starting 2026-10-01 and initially runs until the end of December 2026, with very good prospects for extension. The role involves exciting travel, both within Sweden and internationally.

You will work in an open and supportive team within complex development programs where software is developed both internally and by external suppliers to be integrated into advanced distributed systems.

As the assignment is placed in a security class, Swedish citizenship and an approved security clearance are required before starting.

Responsibilities

The role combines long-term strategy with practical implementation in a cross-functional environment. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Define SCM strategies: Develop and maintain processes, guidelines, and tools for software configuration management throughout the entire product lifecycle.
  • Manage version and change control: Be responsible for baselines and change control for complex, distributed software systems.
  • Support development teams: Guide and support developers in strategies for branching, merging, and version releases.
  • Optimize CI/CD flows: Collaborate closely with DevOps as well as build and release teams to optimize continuous integration and delivery.
  • Ensure traceability: Conduct configuration audits and ensure full traceability between requirements, code, builds, and delivered configurations.
  • Integrate third-party software: Support and quality-assure the integration of external supplier and third-party software.
  • Conduct configuration audits and status reporting within projects.

We are looking for you who

  • Have a relevant higher education (e.g., in computer science, software development, IT) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Have excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing, as the role requires close collaboration with systems engineers, architects, and external suppliers.
  • Have advanced practical knowledge of software configuration management (SCM) or a similar role in complex environments.
  • Have good practical knowledge of version control systems (such as Git) and associated branching and merging strategies.
  • Have good practical knowledge of build, release, and CI/CD pipelines as well as DevOps methods.
  • Have experience with DevOps methodology and tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI/CD.
  • Are able to undergo and pass a security clearance according to current regulations for security protection.

It is meritorious if you have

  • Good theoretical or practical knowledge of international standards and frameworks within configuration management.
  • Experience from large-scale, safety-critical development environments or complex system integration.

To succeed in the role, you have the following personal qualities:

  • Social
  • Organized
  • Stable
