New Year – New Position?

Do you want to help shape the future of church life in the heart of Småland? Växjö Cathedral is now looking for a co-priest who wishes to contribute to a vibrant cathedral with a rich worship life, volunteer engagement, and space for spiritual deepening.

Växjö is a rapidly growing city, home to many students at Linnaeus University – many of them international and curious about Christian contexts. We aim to reach people of all ages, but we see a particular need to find new ways to meet and engage young people, in addition to our important confirmation work.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is confident in the priestly vocation and thrives in the diverse mix of people and liturgical expressions found in and around a cathedral. You have the ability to switch between intimate, quiet conversations and larger liturgical settings, possess an open-minded approach, and feel comfortable representing the breadth of traditions within the Church of Sweden. You are proficient in languages other than Swedish and wish to create meeting places characterized by diversity, participation, and the development of the church's mission in our time.

We are looking for you who:

• Are confident in your priestly vocation and enjoy the variety of life around a cathedral
• Can switch between close, personal conversations and larger liturgical contexts
• Have an open-minded approach and are comfortable with the breadth of traditions in the Church of Sweden
• Can communicate in languages other than Swedish and wish to create meeting places characterized by diversity, participation, and development
• Are ordained priests in the Church of Sweden
