At NKT in Karlskrona, we develop and manufacture high voltage power cables that enable the transition to renewable energy.

Do you want to help verify the power systems of the future? HVDC technology plays a crucial role in the global energy transition by enabling the efficient transmission of large amounts of renewable energy over long distances. In our high-voltage laboratories in Karlskrona, advanced tests are conducted to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of some of the world's most complex HVDC systems.

We are now looking for a Technical Coordinator who wants to be a central part of our testing operations and contribute to ensuring that our projects are carried out in a safe, efficient, and technically robust manner.

About the role
As a Technical Coordinator, you are responsible for the technical and resource assessment of new test assignments before they enter the laboratory's execution phase. You act as the link between projects, planning, and laboratory operations, ensuring that every test order is technically feasible and schedulable. Together with our technical experts, you analyze complex testing requirements, identify resource needs, risks, and dependencies, and create the prerequisites for successful execution.

This is a fixed-term position from August 24, 2026, to April 30, 2028.

Main responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate feasibility analyses for new test orders
  • Assess technical prerequisites, laboratory capacity, and resource requirements
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, test engineers, specialists, and planners
  • Ensure that test orders are clearly defined and anchored before execution
  • Identify technical risks, limitations, and opportunities for improvement
  • Contribute to the development and streamlining of working methods in the role
  • Be a key player at the interface between projects and laboratory operations

Who are you?
We believe you are motivated by technical challenges, have an analytical approach to work, and appreciate collaborating with experts in various technical fields. You thrive in an environment where you can combine technical depth with coordination, and where each project presents new questions to solve.

We are looking for someone with

  • An engineering degree in power systems, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Experience from HVDC, high voltage, or testing operations is an advantage
  • Ability to analyze technical requirements and translate them into practically executable plans
  • A structured and solution-oriented work approach
  • Good communication skills and experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders
  • Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Technology, innovation, and the future in focus
Here, you will have the opportunity to work in a unique technical environment alongside some of the industry's leading experts in high voltage and HVDC technology. You will become part of a team that directly contributes to the development of future energy infrastructure, while also having the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge and help shape how we work moving forward.

Through close collaboration with specialists, engineers, and project teams, you will have the opportunity to both broaden and deepen your technical knowledge. At the same time, you will help develop and improve our processes and working methods. We also offer excellent opportunities for professional development and further career growth within an expanding business driving the green transition forward. Do you want to help ensure the quality of the world's future energy systems? We look forward to receiving your application!
