The Defence Materiel Administration's Telecommunications and Information Systems Regiment (FMTIS) is looking for an Electrical and Mechanical Technician, based at the Telecommunications Section in Ronneby.
About the Operations
FMTIS Implementation Division Ronneby consists of three sections: Tele 1, Tele 2, and IT. We perform the operation and maintenance of the Swedish Armed Forces' telecommunications and IT systems. We ensure communication for the Swedish Armed Forces' other units and are located at Ronneby Garrison. About the Position
The work is primarily carried out at the Swedish Armed Forces' unmanned facilities, which means that business travel and overnight stays away from home are common. The geographical work area is primarily located in southern Sweden. International system support travel also occurs.
Part of the work is performed at height, so a certified medical examination for working at height must be completed before employment. Internal training for specific work areas is provided by the Swedish Armed Forces.
Main Responsibilities
- Independently or in teams, work with troubleshooting and maintenance of the Swedish Armed Forces' power supply and backup power facilities, as well as elevator systems in masts.
- Troubleshooting and maintenance at airports.
- The position also involves collaborating with colleagues in other technical areas as well as external suppliers.
- Support other technical areas within FMTIS as needed.
- Conduct training and participate in collaboration meetings.
Qualifications
- Completed upper secondary education with a focus on electricity or equivalent education/experience assessed by the employer as equivalent.
- Several years of experience in the electrical field.
- Good physical condition (as work at height occurs).
- Good ability to communicate orally and in writing in Swedish and English.
- Good computer skills.
- Category B driver's license (for manual transmission).

- Knowledge of reading electrical and wiring diagrams.
- Mechanically skilled.

Other Information
Permanent employment as a civilian employee on a full-time basis, starting with a six-month probationary period for those not currently employed by the Swedish Armed Forces.
If you are already employed by the Swedish Armed Forces, a certified medical examination and climbing certification must be completed before transfer or a six-month probationary period.
Location: Ronneby. Work may also occur in other parts of the country.
Employment level: Full-time. The position is civilian.
Start date: By agreement.
