Are you a mechanical design engineer who wants to work with advanced products where you can follow the design process all the way from drawing to finished product? We are now looking for a design engineer for a leading company in the marine defense industry. Here you will work in an experienced team where you become a key link between design and production, contributing to the development and adaptation of designs for marine platforms.

As a mechanical design engineer, you will become part of a team of approximately 20 engineers with varying levels of experience. The team is responsible for further developing and adapting existing designs for marine platforms and serves as the link between design and production. Here you work closely with both other designers and production to ensure that the designs work in practice and meet the high demands of the business.

What makes the role unique is that you follow the design through the entire product lifecycle. In addition to working with design and change management, you are also involved in production support, where you solve technical challenges that arise during manufacturing together with the production team. A large part of the work involves adapting and further developing existing designs based on new requirements and conditions, while ensuring that the solutions are technically feasible and work in practice. The role is broad and offers a variation between change management, new development, and improvement work in a technically advanced and regulation-driven development environment.

• Have a university or civil engineering degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
• Have at least 1–3 years of experience in mechanical design.
• Have experience with CAD design, preferably Creo.
• Speak and write fluent Swedish and English, as both languages are used in daily work.

It is an advantage if you have experience with:

• Military background
• Interest in or experience with automation or drawing review.

Since the role involves close collaboration with both designers and production, we also see that you are communicative, unpretentious, and enjoy building good relationships. This is a consulting assignment, which means you will be employed by Friday.

The position requires you to undergo and pass security clearance according to current regulations. For positions where the customer has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
