Your Role

The Material Planner performs planning and follow-up within the purchasing organization with the aim of ensuring timely material availability for projects. You coordinate, prioritize, and communicate material status to your colleagues in both the line and project organizations. The work is carried out in close collaboration with partners within both the purchasing organization and other operations. This is an independent role where significant responsibility lies with you to manage and drive your own work based on ongoing and planned projects.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure material planning based on current delivery plans and available capacity
• Monitor the ERP system with the aim of ensuring material deliveries occur before the start of respective production activities
• Analyze material availability with the goal of minimizing production issues through high delivery precision
• Regularly update status on ongoing purchases and material deliveries according to information from the purchasing organization

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with an interest in purchasing, project planning, and/or logistics. You should have a proactive approach, a structured way of working, and the ability to handle a constantly changing workday with many ongoing assignments simultaneously. It is an advantage if you have relevant education such as economics, logistics, etc.

To succeed in the role, you need to be engaged, have a positive attitude, and a strong drive to achieve set goals. You need good analytical skills as well as the ability to solve and prioritize emerging problems, and make decisions regarding these independently. Since the role involves contact with multiple stakeholders and requires collaboration with them, it is essential that you appreciate the ongoing dialogue and have good social skills.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of business systems and Excel
• Good ability to communicate both orally and in writing

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
