Your role with us

Uppsalahem's maintenance unit is in an exciting phase of development and is now looking for a project manager who can drive our major projects. In this role, you are responsible for leading and driving large-scale renovation and conversion projects in our existing housing stock, from planning to completion. The projects are often complex, involving multiple technical disciplines, significant investment volumes, and numerous internal and external stakeholders.

You have overall responsibility for the implementation of the projects and lead the project organization through the entire project lifecycle. The role involves close collaboration with both internal colleagues and contractors, consultants, and authorities.

Many of our projects are carried out with tenants remaining in their homes, which places high demands on planning, communication, and coordination. Creating good conditions for both the operations and our tenants is therefore an important part of the assignment.

Your main responsibilities:

• Responsible for the project's business, economy, quality, and results
• Lead the project organization through all phases of the project
• Plan, direct, and follow up on the project's implementation
• Coordinate multiple technical disciplines and contractors
• Drive procurement processes and business decisions
• Build strong collaborations with internal and external actors

Who are you?

You are an experienced project manager with good knowledge of the different stages of the construction process. You drive projects forward, have a holistic view, and handle complex assignments with many stakeholders.

You combine technical understanding with business acumen and make well-founded decisions. As a person, you are structured, communicative, and confident in your leadership role. You build trust through clarity, collaboration, and a solution-oriented approach, and you are eager to contribute to development.

The unit is undergoing change, which means that working methods and processes are evolving over time. Therefore, we believe you enjoy a dynamic environment where you can influence and shape the work.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree in construction, property, or urban planning, or a similar field.
• Several years of experience in project management within construction or maintenance
• Experience in financial control, follow-up, and commercial project responsibility
• Experience in procurement and working according to AB/ABT, preferably also LOU
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English
• A valid driver's license (Category B)

Experience with collaborative contracting, partnering, or projects with tenants remaining in their homes is considered a merit.
