Job Responsibilities
As a service technician, you will work with the service, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of Hammar's products. The work is primarily performed in the workshop in Olsfors, where you will work with both new and used machines, as well as customer machines coming in for service and repair. The role can be adapted based on your experience and competence. For some roles, field service at customer sites is also included, and for those with prior experience, there is an opportunity to take on greater responsibility by supporting the Service Manager with planning and coordination. Examples of tasks: • Service, maintenance, and repair of Hammar side loaders. • Troubleshooting within hydraulics, mechanics, pneumatics, and electrical systems. • Conversions, upgrades, and customer adaptations. • Handling warranty, complaint, and service cases. • Delivery inspections and functional testing. • Technical support to customers and colleagues. • Documentation of completed work. Depending on the specific role, the position may also include: • Field service and urgent service interventions at customer sites. • Customer visits using the company's service vehicle. • Planning and prioritizing work in the workshop. • Support to the Service Manager in daily operations. • Temporary increased responsibility during peak workloads or absences. Employment type: Permanent position (with a 6-month fixed-term probation period) Working hours: Daytime, full-time (100%) Start: According to agreement Location: Olsfors, just outside Borås.
Background and Personal Qualities
We are looking for you who have experience with service, maintenance, or repair of construction machinery, heavy vehicles, agricultural machinery, or other similar equipment. We would like you to have: • Knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics, and electrical systems. • Ability to read and understand technical drawings. • Good computer skills. • Valid B-class driver's license. • Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. A forklift license is meritorious, as is experience in field service, welding, machine building, technical support, and customer contact. As a person, you are responsible, solution-oriented, and have a strong technical interest. You work independently when needed but also thrive when collaborating with colleagues. You are quality-conscious, take initiative, and have a service-oriented approach where both the customer and the final result are in focus.
