We are now looking for purchasers for several of our clients in Östergötland, ranging from smaller technology companies to larger industrial firms. We have several open positions with varying focus and complexity. This means we are keen to connect with you who have a few years of experience in purchasing and want to take the next step in a developing environment.

As a purchaser, you will work in business-close roles where you contribute to ensuring the right quality, cost, delivery, and long-term supplier relationships. Depending on your background and interest, the role may involve operational purchasing, strategic purchasing, technical purchasing, project purchasing, category purchasing, or supplier management.

You often work closely with colleagues within areas such as production, design, engineering, quality, logistics, finance, and project management. The role can cover the entire or parts of the purchasing process, from needs analysis, supplier selection, and negotiation to order placement, follow-up, supplier development, and improvement work.

• Drive and manage purchasing processes related to materials, components, services, or indirect purchases
• Work with supplier contacts, requests for quotations, price comparisons, and negotiations
• Ensure deliveries based on requirements for quality, cost, and delivery precision
• Follow up on orders, contracts, lead times, and supplier performance
• Work in IFS with, for example, purchase orders, supplier data, follow-up, and reporting
• Contribute to the development of the supplier base, category strategies, and purchasing processes
• Collaborate closely with internal functions such as engineering, production, quality, logistics, and finance
• Work with risk management, improvement work, and cost optimization
• Prepare materials, reports, and analyses related to purchasing and the supplier side

• Have a post-secondary education in purchasing, supply chain, logistics, economics, engineering, or similar
• Have approximately 3–5 years of experience in purchasing, preferably from industry, technology, production, or manufacturing companies
• Have experience working in business systems, where experience with IFS is particularly meritorious
• Have a good understanding of purchasing processes, business acumen, and supplier follow-up
• Are accustomed to working structured with orders, contracts, supplier contacts, and follow-up
• Have good skills in Excel or other digital tools
• Have good skills in both Swedish and English as both languages are used in internal and external contacts

It is not necessary, but meritorious if you have:

• Experience with IFS as a business system
• Operational purchasing, strategic purchasing, technical purchasing, or project purchasing
• Supplier negotiations, contract management, or category management
• Work with supplier development, follow-up, or supplier management
• Purchasing within industry, technology, production, or manufacturing companies
• Analysis, reporting, cost follow-up, or spend analyses
• Logistics, material planning, or production-proximate flows
• Work in international supply chains or global purchasing organizations

This is a consulting assignment, which means that you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition from the client and our side is that you will become directly employed by the client after 6-12 months.
