Are you passionate about cooking, sustainability, and do you want to help develop tomorrow's childcare and elderly care with us? Are you a trained chef with a strong commitment and a desire to create joy in food and good eating habits every day? Then you are our new colleague!
What does the job as a chef at Norlandia preschool and elderly care involve?
To our preschool and elderly care facility, located in the same building, we are looking for another engaged and self-sufficient chef who wants to make a difference for our elderly and children every day.
We are looking for you who, together with another chef, want to take responsibility for our kitchen and proudly prepare nutritious, delicious, and sustainable meals.
Here, we see the meal as an important part of the children's learning. Therefore, we are looking for you who enjoy meeting both children and the elderly in daily life and who see the value in involving them in the kitchen's activities. This could involve, for example, talking about ingredients or holding small cooking sessions for "mini chefs." You see meal pedagogy as a natural part of your work and contribute to creating curiosity, joy in food, and good habits.
As a chef here, you are responsible for planning, preparing, and serving nutritious meals according to Norlandia's concept for the preschool, Mat med smak (Food with Taste), and Smaklig måltid (Enjoy Your Meal) for the elderly care.
About Lilla and Stora Rospiggen
Lilla and Stora Rospiggen features Norlandia's Generations Concept, meaning a preschool and elderly care facility in the same building, where children and the elderly meet naturally. The preschool Lilla Rospiggen is located on the ground floor with a separate entrance and access to an outdoor yard where the children spend their days. The preparation kitchen is on the ground floor and adjacent to the children's dining room.
Together with children and educators, we arrange small excursions, baking, and meal preparations. The elderly care Stora Rospiggen offers 80 residents a Good Life – Every Day, where we together create a safe and vibrant living environment.
The kitchen is KRAV-certified, which means we work with high quality, sustainable food choices, and a large proportion of organic ingredients. We strive to create joy in food while taking responsibility for the environment and the future.
Here, you get the opportunity to work in a business where the meal is an important part of the children's and residents' daily lives.
