We are looking for a driven and inspiring chef with experience in large-scale kitchens and a desire to work in a vital healthcare setting.
The Stockholm Centre for Eating Disorders (SCÄ) is one of the world's largest specialist clinics for patients with eating disorders, treating patients of all ages. We have a well-developed operation with outpatient care, day care, and inpatient care for adults, children, and adolescents. Today, we have nearly 300 employees. Our outpatient and day care services are located on Södermalm, and our inpatient care is at Danderyd Hospital.

Responsibilities:
As a chef, you will prepare nutritious and individually adapted meals from scratch using climate-adapted ingredients.
We prepare approximately 100 nutrition-calculated lunch portions daily, along with breakfast, coffee breaks, and snacks.
The chef is responsible for developing and evaluating the menu in collaboration with a dietitian.
We are looking for an engaged, proactive, and independent employee who wants to help drive the operation forward.
Together with the Unit Manager for Support Services, you will work with quality and budget monitoring.
You are responsible for placing orders based on agreements and environmental goals.
You monitor, update regularly, and ensure compliance with the self-control program's routines.
The role also involves performing other typical kitchen duties.
At our workplace, you work closely with the operation. A prerequisite is that you enjoy close contact with other employees and have a pleasant and professional demeanor.
Qualifications:
You have completed chef training and have at least 5 years of experience working as a chef, preferably in large-scale kitchens, and have extensive knowledge of special diets.
You are proficient in computer skills with knowledge of the Office package (such as Teams, Word, and Outlook) and preferably other systems.
If you have training in nutrition and knowledge of the patient group, this is considered an advantage.
Personal qualities:
You have good communication skills and are comfortable communicating both verbally and in writing.
You are a team player and collaborate easily, but you also have the ability to work independently and structured, even in stressful situations.
You have an interest in economics and the environment.
Employment type:
Permanent position. Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday.
The kitchen's opening hours are 07:30–16:00.
A probationary period may apply.

The position is filled subject to it not being needed for internal reassignment, according to current regulations.
For patient-facing work within the Stockholm County Council (SLSO):
- A register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks at employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employment examination, according to current directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment.
- Swedish professional licensure is required, along with good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed staff with patient contact.
