Hotel Receptionist for Summer and Extra Work

Are you looking for a varied summer job where you can take responsibility and be involved in several parts of hotel operations?

We are currently seeking a hotel receptionist who can start as soon as possible and work extra during the summer. During the summer months, there is an opportunity for additional shifts. After the summer, the position continues as extra work, primarily on weekends and occasionally on weekdays during autumn and winter, as needed.

About Brunnby Hotel

Brunnby Hotel is a family-owned hotel with 44 rooms, located in Årsta Partihallas, close to both Stockholm International Fairs and Avicii Arena.

We are a small team where everyone helps out and shares responsibility for the business. Here, you will have the opportunity to work broadly and play a key role in our guests' experience.

About the Role

This is a varied role where you will work with several aspects of daily hotel operations. You will greet guests at the reception, handle bookings, and assist with breakfast, cleaning, and other practical tasks as needed.

As we are a smaller hotel, you need to be self-sufficient, flexible, and comfortable switching between different tasks within the same shift.

Working Hours

Morning Shift: 06:30–14:30

Evening Shift: 14:30–22:30

Scope

During the summer, there is an opportunity for several shifts per week, depending on the business's needs and your availability.

During autumn and winter, the work continues as extra work as needed, primarily on weekends and occasionally on weekdays.

Responsibilities

• Check-in and check-out of guests
• Handling phone calls, emails, and bookings
• Working in our booking system, Sirvoy
• Cash handling
• Preparation and management of the breakfast buffet
• Cleaning of hotel rooms and common areas as needed
• Maintaining order in the reception and common areas
• Assisting guests and providing friendly and professional service

We are looking for someone who

• Can start working as soon as possible
• Is available for both morning and evening shifts
• Can work more during the summer and primarily weekends thereafter
• Is responsible, self-sufficient, and unpretentious
• Thrives in a varied work environment with a fast pace
• Is good at handling multiple tasks simultaneously
• Has good computer skills
• Speaks and writes Swedish and English fluently

Previous experience from hotels, reception, cleaning, or other service roles is advantageous but not required. We place great emphasis on your attitude, sense of responsibility, and ability to take initiative.
