Cold Counter/Cook (Hot Kitchen) Wanted for Our Delicatessen Department

Do you work in a restaurant, large-scale kitchen, or school kitchen and want to try something new – cooking in a retail store, with a focus on sustainability and efficiency? Are you creative, structured, and a salesperson who puts the customer first? We are now looking for a cold counter attendant or cook (preferably with experience from a larger kitchen) who wants to take on our hot kitchen!

Responsibilities

• Production of meals/lunch boxes based on season, trends, and demand.
• Processing with a sustainability mindset.
• Participate in catering production during peak sales periods.
• Serve customers at the manual delicatessen counter.
• Purchasing and planning.
• Self-control and food safety.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has worked as a cook or cold counter attendant in a large-scale kitchen, school kitchen, or restaurant.
• Is customer- and sales-oriented, and is receptive to what customers want.
• Has experience working with and following up on budgets.
• Enjoys working in a team, as the hot kitchen is part of the delicatessen department.
• Has a strong interest in food, is creative, engaged, and proactive.
• Works efficiently and structured and can drive themselves.

Requirements:

• Documented professional experience in cooking.
• Ability to work in a team and in a fast-paced environment.
• Good computer skills (Knowledge of ICA systems is an advantage but not a requirement).

ICA Kvantum Vallentuna is located in the center of Vallentuna, north of Stockholm. The store has a strong focus on our fresh food departments. We are a proactive team of approximately 75 employees who serve our customers every day of the week with working hours between 06:00 – 22:10. Our ambition is to simplify our customers' daily lives and offer a good, cost-effective, and wide range of high-quality products.

Scope: Full-time, Monday–Friday, daytime hours. A 6-month probationary period applies.

Salary: According to agreement.
