to apply for the job

We are currently looking for you who want to become part of our lovely team and work as a personal assistant for our client in Örnsköldsvik.

What does this role entail? We are looking for you who can or want to work when one of the client's regular assistants is sick, staying home with sick children, or otherwise absent. This means you need to be flexible and sometimes work on short notice.

Sometimes we have shifts that we know about in advance, for example if a personal assistant is going on vacation. Other times we get a last-minute opening in the morning because the assistant is sick.

We are looking for someone who has another job of max 50%, is studying, or simply hasn't found a job yet. Working as a substitute personal assistant is often a way into the profession while gaining work experience.

We use the FrösundaFramtid system, where you can mark yourself as available when you can work and unavailable when you cannot. You can also add your profile details, for example if you can work evenings but not during the day, or never on Mondays.

As an hourly substitute, you will collaborate with our central staffing unit, which is open from 05:30 to 21:00 to fill vacancies for our clients.

Working hours are 08:00–20:00.

The amount of work varies depending on when vacancies arise and when you are available.

During your shifts, you are usually at the client's home, but you will also accompany the client to activities they participate in, such as horse riding and swimming.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who are engaged, respectful, and responsive. We appreciate that you have great patience and the ability to be personal while acting professionally.

You need to be flexible, solution-focused, and good at collaborating.

The client wants a pleasant, positive, and safe atmosphere in their home, and we are looking for you who can contribute to this in a professional manner.

We would like you to:

  • have a genuine interest in helping others.
  • understand and be understood in Swedish (approved course D in Swedish for Immigrants/SFI).
  • be able to work 08:00–20:00 on weekdays and weekends.
  • have experience in care and social services.
  • be a non-smoker.
  • workplaces are located in Örnsköldsvik. You should live near or in Örnsköldsvik.

We appreciate that you combine other activities with your work with us, such as studies or part-time employment.

In your work, you will work alone with the client, and you will swap with your colleague when you start or finish your shift.

You will perform standard care and social work duties, i.e., helping the client with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, household chores, transfers, etc. You will support the client with planning, execution of activities, and communication. You will be trained by the client's regular assistants.

The shifts always start from the client's home. The client lives alone in a house but has close contact with relatives and a legal guardian.

You need to be calm, flexible, careful, responsible, follow workplace routines, and document. Upon request, you must provide two references from previous employers.
