Your new workplace
We offer people who have been granted an intervention under the Social Services Act (SoL) or the Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS) a meaningful occupation, in line with our goal that individuals should live as independent and self-sufficient a life as possible and participate actively in community life.
The Day Activity Centre Kajplats 15 mainly consists of a Café located in the same building as the Norra Kajen nursing home. Common tasks include making sandwiches, baking, and greeting customers together with the participants. The activity centre also assists the nursing home with certain tasks.
The group consists of approximately ten participants who are hearing, hard of hearing, or deaf. There are two supervisors working Monday–Friday during daytime hours.
How you contribute as a Support Assistant
As a Support Assistant at Kajplats 15, you work to motivate and support people with disabilities to increase their self-esteem, structure in daily life, and social community. You provide support, care, and nursing based on the individual's needs, and support meaningful activities in a way that strengthens the individual's resources from a social and habilitation/rehabilitation perspective. In this role, you actively contribute to the development and quality of the activity, collaborating with the user's network, colleagues, and other partners.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- working with documentation, implementation plans, follow-ups, and deviation reporting.
- planning and structuring work based on the activity's goals, routines, and guidelines.
- performing health and medical care tasks on delegation from a nurse, occupational therapist, or physiotherapist when needed.
- assisting in the introduction of substitutes and new employees, as well as supervising students from upper secondary school and adult education.
- being a support, sounding board, and source of inspiration for colleagues, and contributing new knowledge to the work group.
- participating in competence development, meetings, goal-setting, and planning days.
- holding areas of responsibility and assignments both within and outside the regular workplace.
- working based on the activity's needs, where solo work may occur.
- managing the café operations and other common tasks in the premises together with colleagues.
- responsible for purchasing goods and invoice handling.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for you who have one of the following educations:
- Care and Nursing Programme or Nurse Assistant education with specialization in functional impairment/psychiatry, or the national vocational package for nurse assistants from 2021.
- Child and Youth Programme with a focus on social work or pedagogical work.
You have full proficiency in Swedish Sign Language and at least one year of experience working with people with disabilities within the autism/ND (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) area and/or intellectual disability.
You also have experience and knowledge of cognitive support, as well as good IT skills and experience working in care and nursing systems. You are computer literate and can use the computer as a work tool without difficulty. You have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. A B-driver's license is a requirement for this position.

Salary: Monthly/Hourly wage. Individual and differentiated salary setting applies.
Terms: Salary supplements beyond the monthly wage follow the applicable collective agreement. Central collective agreements can be found on the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions website, www.skr.se
