Hospital Chaplain and Parish Priest for Sollefteå Pastorate

With us, you will have a unique priestly position where you combine 40% as a Hospital Chaplain at Sollefteå Hospital with 60% as a Parish Priest in the Sollefteå Pastorate.

The hospital is a place of life's greatest joys and deepest sorrows. There, you will meet people seeking hope, meaning, and someone who dares to stay when words are no longer enough.

In the pastorate, you will simultaneously be part of a dedicated team where the entire Sollefteå Pastorate becomes your workplace. Here, you will encounter people at all stages of life through worship services, church ceremonies, and parish activities.

A role with both freedom and responsibility

As a Hospital Chaplain, you offer spiritual care and support to patients, relatives, and staff. You become a natural part of the hospital's caring environment and collaborate closely with counselors and other professionals.

As a Parish Priest, you are active throughout the entire Sollefteå Pastorate. Worship services, church ceremonies, and parish work are a natural part of the role.

We are looking for you who

• are ordained as a priest according to the Church of Sweden's order

• feel secure in your priestly identity

• are skilled at building trusting relationships and meeting people with sensitivity, respect, and presence

• enjoy working independently while also appreciating collaboration and community.

Experience in spiritual care or hospital ministry is an advantage, but we also welcome those who feel a strong desire to deepen their knowledge in this area.

A valid driver's license (Category B) and access to a personal car are prerequisites for the position.
