The housing units within social psychiatry are part of the Functional Support area within the Welfare Administration. Within this unit, decisions are implemented in accordance with both the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Functionally Impaired Persons (LSS).

Do you want to be part of building something new? We are now looking for six to eight dedicated and goal-oriented support assistants for a new unit within the Social Psychiatry housing services. This unit will be located in Överhörnäs and is planned to open in the autumn of 2026.

Working hours will be scheduled during days, evenings, weekends, and on-call sleeping shifts.

Job Responsibilities

You are responsible for creating and following up on implementation plans, other social documentation, and other administrative tasks and areas of responsibility, such as schedules, purchase orders, health, and safety, in collaboration with the user.

Together with your colleagues, you will carry out daily and planned support measures and activities with the user. You will support and motivate them in daily activities at home and during leisure time. It is important to build trusting relationships with the users and serve as a good role model.

You ensure that support measures are based on the user's individual needs, promote independence and participation, and are carried out with respect for the user's integrity and self-determination. You assist with daily chores and activities, personal hygiene, and medication.

You drive development work forward together with colleagues according to established goals, methods, quality requirements, and other guidelines. Collaborating with the user's network, other staff, and other partners is also an important part of the job.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a high school diploma in either the Care and Nursing Program with specialization in disability or psychiatry, the Child and Youth Program with an orientation towards social work or pedagogical work, or other equivalent education assessed as equivalent by the employer.

To work within care and nursing, you must be at least 18 years old. It is important that you have the ability to treat people professionally based on their individual conditions and needs. As a person, you are self-reliant, stress-resistant, and focused on the individual. You are empathetic, responsible, and have an easy time collaborating with others. You have good social skills and thrive working in a flexible manner. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

A Category B driver's license is required for the position.

For the job, sufficient knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required to communicate with users, perform care documentation, and obtain medication delegation.

Before any potential employment, a certificate of good conduct (extract from the police register for work with the elderly and adults with disabilities) must be presented to the employer.
