Job Description

The Employment Unit offers work training and occupation for individuals who are far from the labor market, with the aim of bringing them closer to the open labor market and self-sufficiency.

The mission of the Employment Unit is to work in close cooperation with the Swedish Public Employment Service, Individual and Family Care, Adult Education (Komvux), and other actors to reduce unemployment and benefit dependency among the residents of Sollefteå Municipality. To succeed in this, we utilize internships in our own premises, other municipal workplaces, private companies, or non-profit organizations.

In combination with coaching conversations and meaningful occupation where the individual is put in focus, we work systematically to assist our participants in reaching their goals.

In your role as a supervisor, you will be an active participant in the work and perform tasks together with those assigned to the unit. You will supervise by verbally and practically conveying how different tasks can be performed. Your task and goal is to contribute to the assignee's development in areas deemed important for the individual to approach the open labor market. You will participate in follow-ups with the assignee, where you are expected to report on the assignee's progress and areas for development.

As a supervisor, you will plan, lead, and distribute work based on existing assignments and be a support for the participants. The position also involves being involved in practical work when needed. You are responsible for ensuring that performed work maintains good quality and meets the requirements. Safety and a good work environment are important in your function. The work also involves some administrative work and documentation.

You will be part of a work group that includes supervisors for other sub-activities. Part of the work involves covering for and supporting other supervisors in case of absence or high workload. Other sub-activities include, among others, the Leisure Bank, Creative Workshop, Carpentry, Housing Group, Digital Workshop, and Service Group.

The activity is based on supporting individuals on their path to self-sufficiency. We work with motivational and coaching interventions both individually and in groups. Employment within Sollefteå Municipality, contacts with local businesses, and internships are also important tools in our work.

Qualifications

Experience in leading others. You have an empathetic ability combined with a professional approach. You believe in the individual's ability and are skilled at motivating and teaching. Seeing people grow is a driving force, and you have a solution-focused approach. You are clear and persistent, with the ability to create structure and order in your own and others' daily lives. As a person, you are engaged, service-oriented, proactive, and have good problem-solving skills. You are a good listener and find it easy to collaborate with others. You enjoy developing both people and operations, and seeing opportunities in daily work.

You are computer literate, can handle the Office package, and can express yourself well in speech and writing.

We would appreciate if you have experience in practical work, preferably in property maintenance or similar, and knowledge of functional variations, integration issues, and people in a marginalized position.

A valid B-driver's license is required.

Personal suitability is highly valued.
