Youth Worker (Part-Time) - Ung 24
Ung 24 ABVästernorrlands län, Kramfors
Previous experience is desired
Do you want to help change the lives of young people?
Ung 24 has a permit from IVO (The Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare) to provide external outpatient treatment for children and young people aged 12–25. Our services are aimed at children and young people who have lived in unsuitable environments, exhibit norm-breaking and/or criminal behavior (e.g., those who have committed minor offenses, experimented with drugs, or displayed threatening behavior). Ung 24 also operates a foster care service combined with youth treatment, family treatment, and contact person support.
About Us:
Ung 24 is growing rapidly, and we are therefore looking for a part-time Youth Worker to join our team immediately. Our team has many years of experience working with children and young people in criminal environments. The team includes various roles such as contact persons, youth workers, family therapists, and foster care consultants.
The nature of the intervention varies depending on the situation. Some young people live at home, and we conduct our work in their home or local environment. Others are placed in emergency or foster care, and our work takes place in close proximity to these settings.
What is common to all cases is that every young person has a contact person and/or youth worker for a set number of hours each week, and that all meetings are individual. We do not work with our young people in groups.
About You:
As a Youth Worker at Ung 24, you must be self-sufficient, flexible, solution-focused, skilled at building alliances, and able to juggle multiple tasks.
You have experience working with children and young people in treatment, support, or social work. You must be able to work independently. We also look for someone with a genuine interest in the child/young person behind the criminal attitude, who is persistent in their role but knows when to change tactics.
You will likely drive a lot as part of this role, so you need to be confident and comfortable with driving. You may need to travel to neighboring municipalities.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to take initiative and build valuable relationships.
- Training in one of our treatment methods: rePULSE, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Criminality as a Lifestyle (KSL), or Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT).
- Participation in physical activities, such as gym sessions or training.
- Participation in urine drug testing.
- Support the child/young person in finding a healthy social environment outside of the intervention.
- Regular follow-ups with social services and schools.
- Write monthly reports.
- Write implementation plans.
- Document all contacts with young people in our activity system, Infosoc.
- Be available to work evenings and weekends to accommodate the young people's schedules.
We Offer:
- Meaningful work where you make a long-term difference for children and young people.
- Hourly wage.
- Continuous supervision.
- Flexible working hours.
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work, Social Pedagogy, or an equivalent education.
- Valid driver's license (Category B) and access to a car.
- Experience in youth work.
- Fluent in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability. We decline all forms of recruitment assistance during the process.
Ung 24 is a Stockholm-based company, so most communication with management will take place digitally.
