Furuboda Assistans is a private personal assistance provider in southern Sweden with roots in the non-profit Furuboda Association. The company was established in 2005 and is a growing enterprise. Currently, Furuboda Assistans consists of approximately 600 employees. We strive to be a role model in sustainable business. Are you someone who wants to make a difference in someone else's life? We are now looking for an engaged and caring personal assistant to help a man in his 50s with his daily life.

We are looking for you who have

• A calm and methodical work style
• Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities
• Experience with or willingness to learn TAKK (Sign-supported Swedish) or picture support
• Great care for others and a desire to create security and a meaningful everyday life
• Good communication skills and understanding of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Job Responsibilities

As a personal assistant, you will be an important part of the customer's daily life and help him with general care tasks (ADL), such as:

• Personal hygiene
• Dressing and undressing
• Meals and cooking
• Support with transfers and activities
• Social support and communication via TAKK or picture support (sign-supported or image-based communication methods)
• Accompanying the customer to activities and errands outside the home

The workplace is in the customer's home, where you work closely and have an individual relationship with him.

Qualifications

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience working with people with hearing impairments and sign language skills
• Experience with or education in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)

The position entails

• Working hours according to schedule, both weekdays and weekends (24-hour shifts)
• A secure and supportive work environment where you have the opportunity to develop within the profession
• A full-time equivalent of approximately 90% starting from 2026-08-04.
