Join us and make a difference from day one!
Drakstadens LSS housing is now starting operations independently, after having held a contractor agreement with Sundsvall Municipality for a couple of years. This is a group home for adults within target group 1 (covering individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, or autism-like conditions). The facility consists of six apartments and a shared common area, located in Skönsmon, Sundsvall.
Drakstadens Omsorg has been in existence for 12 years and currently operates in Sundsvall and Stockholm. We are approximately 80 employees dedicated to providing our customers with well-planned and secure care, support, and services. Our core values, KRAM (Quality, Results, Responsibility, Humanity), permeate all our work.
Job Responsibilities
Your duties in the customer-facing work include providing individual support, nursing care, and performing service tasks such as cooking, laundry, and cleaning. The role also involves planning and carrying out activities together with the customer. It is important that you work in a structured and predictable manner. Challenging behaviors may occur in the work, and there may be delegated health and medical care tasks.
Who are we looking for?
You are a support teacher (stödpedagog) or have other equivalent education, for example, 60 ECTS credits in the field of disability or pedagogy. Alternatively, you have other pedagogical education or education in care and nursing (e.g., assistant nurse with a focus on psychiatry or disability).
You have experience working in psychiatry and share our values. You are service-oriented, flexible, and eager to be active in the development of our operations. You are responsible, attentive to the customer's wishes, secure, loyal, and have a natural ability to collaborate.
You have good knowledge of clarifying pedagogy and low-affective handling, and you express yourself well both verbally and in writing. You want to work in a positive team where we support and lift each other to achieve our common goals. You are engaged and driven.
Meritorious: Experience working with individuals with mental health issues and possession of a driver's license.
About the Position
We exist for our residents, which means working hours include days, evenings, and nights, both weekdays and weekends. It is possible to submit preferences regarding scheduling.
In the role of care staff, you work to provide high-quality care. You base your work on each individual and strive to ensure the specific customer feels secure, has self-determination, integrity, and meaning. Our primary work tool is the customer's implementation plan, where you check the planning against set goals. You collaborate closely with customers, their relatives, home healthcare services, LSS case managers, and others. You work person-centered, supported by our tools, and are service-oriented and solution-focused in all situations.
Initially, you will work independently with one resident. There is flexibility regarding the extent of employment. Initially, you will be offered an hourly position or a temporary contract for the first month, with good opportunities for permanent employment if desired. We are looking for both temporary staff as needed and those seeking a long-term position.
The recruitment process is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Apply today!
Open to all
We focus on your competence, not your other prerequisites. We are open to adapting the role or workplace to your needs.
