Currently, Kevinge Adapted School is looking for several part-time resource assistants. With short or longer notice, we need resource assistants who can step in and work various shifts between 07:00–17:30 during both school hours and leisure time.

About the Workplace

Kevinge Adapted School is centrally located near Danderyd Centre and Kevinge Golf Course. Approximately 18 students attend the school across three classes, focusing on subjects for grades 1–6 and subject areas for children in grades 1–9. Staff here work in well-functioning teams alongside engaged and experienced colleagues. Job Responsibilities

As a resource assistant, you are an important part of the students' entire school day. You work with both care-oriented and pedagogical approaches to create safety, structure, and good relationships. You support students socially and academically in teaching and contribute to making the leisure center's activities meaningful, accessible, and developing.

Tasks that may be included in your work as a resource assistant are:

• Helping students so that the teacher can focus on teaching.
• Assisting students with daily care needs regarding clothing, hygiene, food, etc.
• Being helpful to the teacher in teaching and supporting students in their learning.
• Working to ensure the whole class has safety and a conducive study environment.
• Following students closely so they receive support in their learning and social situations.
• Gathering information and compiling materials regarding students' social and academic development.
• Participating in meetings such as EHK (Individual Study Plan), EHT (Individual Education Plan), development talks, or other meetings regarding students.
• Maintaining continuous contact with guardians as needed.
• Substituting in the classroom when teachers are temporarily absent (applies only if you work during school hours).

You work based on the curriculum goals in LGRa22 and participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the leisure center's pedagogical activities together with your colleagues in the team. As a resource assistant, you support students in their development and ensure a safe environment.

You will be part of close cooperation with leisure center teachers, preschool teachers, subject teachers, and other staff in the operation. The activity is based on jointly decided structures, pedagogical methods, and adaptations. All employees are expected to work consistently based on the operation's common approach to create recognition and safety for the students.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Have experience and knowledge about students in adapted schools.
• Have very good knowledge of Swedish (both spoken and written).

It is meritorious if you:

• Are trained as a childcare worker or have equivalent education/experience.
• Have experience working with students with Individual Needs (IF).
• Have experience working in integrated (age-homogeneous) leisure centers.
• Have experience working in leisure centers or other pedagogical activities.

As a person, you are confident in yourself and your role, and you are secure and stable in new situations where both children and parents find safety with you. Furthermore, you need to be positive, flexible, and low-affective in your interactions. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
