In this way, Region Uppsala can assume its role, both regionally and nationally.
Do you want to develop and contribute to the growth of Region Uppsala? Welcome to work with us!
Our Operations
Decision Support is a unit within the Department of Economy and Control. The unit is responsible for the development and management of Region Uppsala's data warehouse in SQL Server, as well as the reporting and analysis tool SAS. As data becomes increasingly important in steering the region's operations, the unit has an important task to support Region Uppsala's operations with data and decision support materials that enable monitoring, analysis, and operational development. These materials are also used for research and reporting to authorities and other external recipients.
We are now looking for an inclusive Unit Manager and Object Manager with experience in leading Business Intelligence (BI). Do you want to help create one of Sweden's best decision support systems and contribute to ensuring that our operations within healthcare, public transport, culture, and regional development have access to clear and visual decision support?
Your Role
The unit is tasked with managing and developing solutions for monitoring, analysis, and reporting both internally and externally. The management object is organized according to the PM3 management model. In the role of manager and object manager, you are responsible for achieving the unit's operational goals. In addition to operational responsibility, you also have budget responsibility and personnel responsibility for the unit's approximately 14 employees. You will be part of the Department of Economy's management group and report to the Regional Financial Director, who is also the object owner for the Decision Support management object.
The unit has existed for many years but now has a need for development. To thrive in this role, you need to be confident in leading change and motivated by creating clarity, stability, and common working methods. Together with your superior manager, you will be instrumental in shaping the unit's continued development.
A central part of your managerial role will be to build a sustainable culture characterized by collaboration, responsibility, and a shared direction. As a manager within Region Uppsala, you are expected to be coaching, work situationally adapted, and contribute to a health-promoting workplace where employees thrive and develop.
Your Qualifications
You have a university degree relevant to the assignment and several years of experience in a managerial role. You have understanding of and experience in system development and system management in a BI/Decision Support environment, as well as in a common data warehouse. You have a strong interest in operational development and experience in leading vision and strategy work within BI.
We would appreciate it if you had previous experience in a similar role in a larger, complex organization. Experience as an object manager/asset manager is advantageous. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
Your Competence
You are a confident and experienced leader, with a good ability to create participation and engagement, as well as conditions to effectively achieve common goals. You are interested in developing both the operations and the employees; you thrive when you see your employees grow. As a manager, you are clear in your communication, receptive, humble, and fair. You have the will and ability to create good collaborations to achieve common results.
You take responsibility, can make decisions, and maintain your calm and ability to focus on the right things even in stressful situations. You master complex issues and can analyze and solve complicated problems. You are driven by finding good solutions and have the ability to organize and structure work within given frameworks. Great importance is attached to personal qualities.
