Statens institutionsstyrelse (SiS) is a government agency responsible for individualized involuntary care for young people and adults with substance abuse issues. SiS LVM Home Östfora in Järlåsa, northwest of Uppsala, receives men with alcohol, drug, or combined substance abuse, combined with mental health issues. We have special competence in medical nursing and are tasked with providing care for clients with special care needs.

SiS is in the midst of a comprehensive change where operations are developing on several levels simultaneously. We develop and adapt our work based on new and changing needs in both society and our own operations. We know that developmental and engaged managers are a crucial prerequisite for meeting today's and future tasks.

Job Description

As Quality Manager, you have overall responsibility for the systematic quality and improvement work at the institution, which includes, among other things, self-control and improvement work based on identified deficiencies in care, treatment, and healthcare. You are responsible for implementing and following up on methods and working practices within care, treatment, and healthcare. Furthermore, you should develop and, if necessary, initiate collaboration with other healthcare providers. You are also responsible for local complaint handling. You lead the institution's treatment organization, and you have a group of employees to assist you, consisting of psychologists, nurses, treatment secretaries, and quality coordinators. You report directly to the Institution Director and sit on the institution's management group.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role of Quality Manager, you have a holistic view and a good ability to consider the best interests of the operation in your actions and decisions. You are good at working towards goals and focusing on results. You collaborate well with others and are sensitive in your communication. You create conditions for good results, tackle challenges, and act with courage when needed. You are a good role model and show trust in the competence of your employees and colleagues, encouraging them to develop and take individual responsibility. You involve your employees in our development work and create conditions for active employee participation and a learning organization. You promote good collaboration within SiS and with other partners. You are communicative and create dialogue, participation, and engagement.

You must also have:

  • An academic degree focused on social and behavioral sciences or other relevant education
  • Several years of experience working within social services, care, and treatment, or equivalent operations
  • Documented current managerial experience with responsibility for operations, budget, and personnel
  • Driver's license and access to a car

Employment:

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probation period. Start date by agreement.

On-call duty may be included in the position.

Selection will take place during ongoing recruitment.

On-site interviews will be conducted during week 31 for those who have advanced in the process.

Tests and work samples may be included in the recruitment process.
