Job Responsibilities

On Ward 53/IMA, there is a professional team of nurses, nursing assistants, care assistants, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and physiotherapists. Qualifications

We prefer that you have a nursing education with a focus on Health and Social Care. The courses Emergency Care 200 credits (formerly Healthcare 200 credits) and Medicine 2 100 credits (formerly Basic Medical Course 100 credits and Nursing 150 credits) are desirable. Alternatively, equivalent older education or the nursing program with graduation after 2022. We also consider relevant work experience when assessing your qualifications. Experience in pre- and postoperative care is an advantage. To assess employability, grades from your healthcare education must be attached to your application. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.

About the Operations

Vascular-Thorax Ward 53/IMA is part of the highly specialized care provided at the University Hospital in Örebro. The ward, together with our intensive care unit (TIVA), vascular clinic, and our surgical department, forms the Vascular and Thorax operations area. We focus on the heart, blood vessels, and lungs.

Patients are cared for on Ward 53 pre- and postoperatively. Ward 53 has, in addition to regular ward beds, an admission unit and 6 intermediate care beds (IMA). On IMA, patients are cared for who no longer need intensive care but still need to be cared for at a higher level than on a regular ward. IMA also functions as a postoperative ward for our lung and vascular surgery patients.

Other Information

Full-time or as requested. Individual scheduling. The work involves day, evening, and night shifts. One of the temporary positions is full-time nights. Weekend work two weekends out of five.
