Are you a trained biomedical analyst? Then there is a varied and exciting job for you at Clinical Immunology and Transfusion Medicine at Örebro University Hospital.
We are a great team of 8 biomedical analysts and 7 doctors.
ResponsibilitiesHere, you work independently with laboratory work, using manual and automated methods to diagnose defects in the immune system as well as autoimmune, allergic, and autoinflammatory diseases. The investigations may concern diagnosis and/or assessment of disease activity. In addition to routine work, various improvement projects are ongoing.

QualificationsLicensed biomedical analyst. As a person, you enjoy varied work and can handle situations with both high and low tempo in a structured way. To thrive with us, you have a good ability to collaborate and communicate with your colleagues, as well as a good attitude and understanding towards our customers. Previous experience in laboratory work is an advantage.

About the DepartmentThe Laboratory Medicine department has a joint responsibility for the laboratory medicine service provided at the laboratories within Örebro University Hospital, Karlskoga Hospital, and Lindesberg Hospital. We run a broad operation within the areas of clinical chemistry, bacteriology, virology, immunology, transfusion medicine including therapeutic plasma exchange, pathology, cytology, and molecular genetics. The department also includes Sterile Technology. Nearly 300 people work here with routine diagnostics, research and development, as well as education.
Örebro University Hospital (USÖ) is one of the county's three emergency hospitals where we provide advanced healthcare, research, and education. In both 2020 and 2019, USÖ received the prestigious award "Best University Hospital" from the magazine Dagens Medicin. USÖ won the heaviest category of medical quality, had the best results in the categories of accessibility, economy, and avoiding pressure ulcers and overcrowding.
