Do you want to work as a school nurse in a meaningful role at JENSEN Gymnasium Örebro and Realgymnasiet in Örebro?

We are looking for you who want to develop and contribute to our students achieving success in all aspects of life. In your role as a school nurse at our schools, you will have the opportunity, together with engaged and competent colleagues and present managers, to take overall responsibility for the school's medical student health care.

As a school nurse, you work based on the Health and Medical Services Act and the Education Act, supported by the central Student Health Care at our schools. You are part of and collaborate closely with the student health team as well as teachers, and together with them you are responsible for planning and organizing the work and the guidelines for medical interventions. The health of our students is of great importance to their academic development, and you contribute with your competence in medicine, health, and nursing to give them the best conditions for learning. In your role, you work in a health-promoting and preventive manner at the individual, group, and organizational levels. Your tasks include conducting health conversations and being responsible for health examinations and vaccinations.

JENSEN Gymnasium Örebro is located in bright, fresh premises high up at Stortorget in central Örebro. At our workplaces, we have a clear health profile with an emphasis on both physical and mental well-being. We are a school for students with high ambitions, which also means that we have high positive expectations of our students. Safety, well-being, and good health are crucial for our students to achieve good results in school.

Realgymnasiet Örebro is located in fresh, bright premises on Aspholmen. Here there is proximity to trains and buses but also free parking. The school started in 2020 and has one program, the Natural Resources Program. Here, the specializations Animal Care, Horse Keeping, and Nature Tourism are offered. In total, we have about 150 students and 25 employees. Realgymnasiet Örebro is part of Lärande i Sverige.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with specialist education directed towards district nurse, child and youth, or school nurse. Previous experience from student health care in upper secondary school is meritorious.

As a person, you need to be structured and have good planning skills. A prerequisite for succeeding in the role is that you are independent in your work and value teamwork and collaboration with the school's staff. Your commitment to the job is clear, and you easily create trust among students, guardians, and colleagues with your responsible and empathetic approach. Furthermore, you are flexible and can adapt your tasks according to needs and external circumstances. You care about your own health and understand, like us, the benefits of prioritizing health and well-being.

Conditions

The position is a permanent employment at 80%. The scope is distributed 40% at JENSEN Gymnasium Örebro and 40% at Realgymnasiet Örebro. We apply a 6-month probation period. Start date by agreement.
