Occupational Therapist for Home Healthcare in Kumla Municipality

We are looking for an independent occupational therapist who will work with the municipality's residents in home healthcare. Our team working with home healthcare in Kumla Municipality belongs to Health and Medical Care Unit 1, which includes 10 occupational therapists, 18 nurses, and a unit manager.

Together with nurses, care staff, and the unit manager, we work in teams with the patient as a co-creator. There is great commitment and broad competence within the staff group, who have a strong desire to develop and improve healthcare for the citizens of Kumla.

Job Responsibilities

Your main tasks are to assess and investigate patients based on their functional ability. You will also be responsible for treatment, training, and environmental adaptation. You will help trial suitable assistive devices with the aim of developing or maintaining independence.

Your work is characterized by a rehabilitative approach, which permeates your work and interactions with all parties involved regarding the individual. You should be able to guide the patient, care staff, and relatives pedagogically in training and transfer techniques.

Qualifications and Merits

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist. Experience from a similar profession is meritorious. You have good collaboration skills and contribute to a positive and developmental work climate. We expect you to work in a structured, independent, and flexible manner from a professional approach with the ability to see opportunities. You are accustomed to using technology and digital tools in your work. You are expected to keep up to date regarding new research findings and developments in the field, and express yourself well in speech and writing.

A Class B driver's license is a requirement. It is meritorious if you have worked with a rehabilitative approach and have documentation experience in Procapita, Senior Alert, and Lifecare SP. We place great importance on personal suitability.
