About the position

You now have the opportunity to be part of our ongoing development journey within home care. We operate from new, fresh premises at the Wadköping Health Quarter and travel by car or bicycle to our patients in Norrcity, the eastern parts of Örebro, as well as parts of northern Örebro around Svampen and its surroundings. As a nurse in home care, you are responsible for registered patients aged 18 and older who need health and medical care at home. Your role involves being the responsible nurse for a specific geographical area. Currently, our team consists of nurses, occupational therapists, assistant nurses, an administrator, and two unit managers, forming an experienced and competent group with a great atmosphere. We also collaborate with doctors and physiotherapists from the region. For us, it is important to work from a person-centered and rehabilitative approach, focusing on our patients' wishes and needs.

Examples of tasks:

As a nurse/district nurse:

• You work according to the nursing process with medical care for patients, independent planning, implementation of interventions, and follow-up/evaluation of interventions.
• You give advice and guidance, perform examinations and treatments based on independent assessments.
• You work with preventive health work.
• You manage medication and delegate tasks to nursing staff.

As a district nurse:

• You have an additional responsibility to convey structured work methods to your colleagues.
• You have prescription rights and use your knowledge of drug properties, prescriptions, and side effects.
• Based on in-depth knowledge, you make health economic choices for investigation and treatment.
• You mentor colleagues in areas with training needs and are a driving force towards Primary Care.

About the workplace

We have recently moved to newly built and fresh premises in the Wadköping Health Quarter, sharing the building with Skebäck's Health Center and municipal home care units. We collaborate with several other operations, such as the evening organization for nurses in special housing, night nurses, and several home care groups.

Home care is organized within the Social Administration's area of Care and Support. The operations include care and support, preventive activities, authority exercises in the area, as well as housing placement and home adaptations. Within the Care and Support area, we work to support and help people who need care, support, or assistance in their daily lives. During evenings and weekends, we have a central organization where all home care areas collaborate from the same workplace. This promotes close collegial cooperation, clearer division of labor, and reduced working hours during evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

As a nurse, you are confident in yourself and have good self-insight. You enjoy having your own areas of responsibility and take responsibility for your tasks in an independent and structured manner. Being responsive and accommodating in your interactions, both with colleagues and patients, is second nature to you. You are clear in your communication and have the ability to ensure that information reaches its destination. Furthermore, you adapt easily to changed circumstances and see possibilities and solutions in what you are faced with. Additionally, you master the Swedish language to a degree that allows you to communicate with patients and other staff, as well as document what the operation requires. Since the work involves digital documentation in operational systems, good computer skills are required.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• Registered nurse
• Category B driver's license, manual transmission
• Ability to cycle

Merits:

• Trained district nurse
• Specialist education in geriatrics/elderly care
• Experience working in municipal health and medical care
• Experience working in operational systems such as Treserva, Lifecare, Pascal, and Senior Alert

Scope and start date

Employment type: Permanent employment

Full-time equivalent: 100%

Start date: As agreed

Number of positions: 3-4. The positions will be filled if necessary decisions are made.

Working hours: Day, evening, and weekend. Currently, the schedule involves working every sixth weekend. There is an opportunity to adjust the schedule to daytime work only.
