About the position

Almby Home Care is one of the largest home care units in Örebro Municipality. As an assistant here, you will perform and participate in support, service, and nursing interventions. You will have a team of about 30 colleagues who make a difference, big and small, in our customers' lives every day. Some have extensive care needs, while others need help with simpler daily tasks. Regardless of the need, we always focus on the individual, with care and respect.

We work rehabilitatively and utilize each person's own abilities. You will become part of a team consisting of assistants, assistant nurses, nurses, and occupational therapists, where you have an independent but supported role. Much of our work is done by bicycle, but we also have a car group. We are growing and now seeking more employees to meet the increased demand in the area. Examples of tasks:

• Nursing care and, based on delegation, certain medication management depending on an individual assessment of experience and knowledge level
• Service tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping
• Working based on implementation plans
• Following goal plans, routine descriptions, and action plans together with the customer
• Collaboration with nurses, occupational therapists, and relatives

About the workplace

We are based at Landbotorpsallén in Ladugårdsängen and work in the areas of Ladugårdsängen, Sörby, Sörbyängen, parts of Almby, as well as Ekeby-Almby. We also have a close collaboration with Marka Home Care.

The Care and Support Area is part of the Social Services Administration. The operations include care and support, preventive activities, authority functions in the area, as well as housing placement and home adaptations. Within the Care and Support Area, we work to support and help people who need care, support, or assistance in their daily lives.

Qualifications

As an assistant here, you are a secure and stable person. You have the ability to meet customers professionally by being calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions. Being responsible for your tasks is second nature to you. You collaborate well with others and relate to them in a listening and flexible manner. Furthermore, you have a positive view of humanity with great respect for each individual's specific needs. Additionally, you adapt easily to changing circumstances and see opportunities in change. You master the Swedish language sufficiently to communicate with customers and other staff, as well as to document written records as required by the operations. As the work involves digital documentation in operational systems, good computer skills are required.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• Ability to cycle
