University Hospital Örebro, Vascular-Thorax Department, is looking for a Junior Doctor (Underläkare) for a temporary position. The Vascular and Thorax department consists of a care ward with an associated intermediate care unit (IMA), an intensive care unit, an operating theater, a vascular clinic, and administration. We perform approximately 1,600 surgeries per year within open heart surgery, general thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, and arrhythmia treatment. With a patient-focused approach, our operations are characterized by a strong production orientation combined with intensive research and development work. We provide advanced vascular-thoracic surgical care around the clock, with specialists in thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, and thoracic anesthesiology. In total, we are about 200 dedicated employees who contribute daily to an open working climate and a pronounced teamwork spirit.
ResponsibilitiesYou will work independently with access to support from specialist physicians and resident physicians (ST-läkare). This includes examining, investigating, assessing, and treating patients with thoracic and vascular surgical conditions. As a Junior Doctor with us, you will work with admission clinics, ward duties, and assist in surgeries.
QualificationsRegistered physician. Swedish language skills equivalent to level C1 on the Council of Europe scale are required. We are looking for someone who easily builds good relationships with both patients and colleagues. You have a positive attitude with the patient at the center.
Great importance will be placed on personal suitability and teamwork skills. Knowledge of the Cosmic system and Örebro University Hospital is an advantage, as is previous experience working as a Junior Doctor.

Other InformationFixed-term contract for 6 months with the possibility of extension. On-call and standby shifts during evenings and weekends may occur.
