We are looking for a certified special needs teacher at Häggviks Gymnasium
Here, you will have the opportunity to work in small, resource-rich teaching groups with the student in focus. Our operations are driven with high quality and characterized by continuous development. We place great emphasis on continuous competence development to promote learning. Your duties include standard teaching responsibilities. You will conduct teaching in adapted upper secondary education with a focus on subject areas.
Our workplace offers you a safe and welcoming environment, where the employees' high competence and great engagement promote the students' development. You will join an environment that is permissive, challenging, and creative. We are entering a new digital era and offer good conditions for need-adapted learning. As a special needs teacher, you will work partly on teaching together with resource pedagogues and partly have main responsibility for mentorship in your teaching group. The teaching takes place in small teaching groups, based on the students' knowledge level, learning pace, and social conditions. We work with a clarifying, structured, and predictable pedagogy, with the aim of creating both security and a desire to learn. With competent and engaged pedagogues, we base the education on each student's abilities and conditions.
Your background
To thrive with us, we believe you are structured, driven, and curious, with a strong desire to continue developing. You see challenges as opportunities rather than problems, and you have a great commitment to our student group. You also believe in every student's right to develop as far as possible.
Expectations
You have experience with pedagogical documentation such as pedagogical investigations, action plans, etc. You are non-hierarchical and believe in collaboration. Good and trusting relationships with management, colleagues, guardians, and students are important to you. You share our values: Forward, Together, Heart, and Wisdom.
Qualifications
You are a certified special needs teacher with a specialization in intellectual disability.
You have experience and documented experience in teaching students with neuropsychiatric disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and language disorders. You master the Swedish language in speech and writing.
Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
